If you love to dance with others and want to connect to the hooping world through a global project, then the World Hoop Day Dance is for you. World Hoop Day is an annual, global charity event that aims to give hoops to children worldwide. The WHD Dance project allows hoopers around the planet to learn and perform a choreographed hoop dance that is later compiled into one dance video as part of the World Hoop Day celebrations.
Spin Matsuri sponsored the first 7 years of the project; from 2017 onwards, Che Rippinger took on the project. You can find details about the current year’s dance on the World Hoop Day Dance Facebook page.
You are most welcome to use the past choreography in your classes, for performance, or as inspiration for your own dances. (Additional tutorial videos on specific moves and sections are available on YouTube by searching for WHD Dance.)
